Pain In Feet After Walking

Peter Said:

What is causing extreme pain in my feet upon standing - after legs are elevated?

We Answered:

Could be heel spurs.

"Heel Pain - Causes:
Nearly all causes of heel pain are directly or indirectly linked to a condition called plantar fasciitis or more commonly known as heel spur. Plantar fasciitis occurs when the plantar fascia ligament along the bottom of the foot (white band in diagram below) becomes overloaded leading to excess traction and inflammation.

When the foot is rested the fascia tightens due to the inflammation. When the foot resumes weight bearing the band is stretched and produces a stabbing pain that normally eases after a few minutes.

This repeated pulling on the heel bone can often lead to the formation of a heel spur, which is a deposition or calcification of a pointy piece of bone that can be detected on X-rays. The bony spur itself rarely causes pain but the inflammation of the surrounding plantar fascia does."

Tanya Said:

is it bad for your feet to burn after walking in the rain?

We Answered:

This always happens to me. Well, almost always. I'm no specialist, but I believe it's because your wet suck was in a tighter shoe and was soaking your foot (making the skin softer perhaps) then rubbing on your skin, making it raw.

You'll be okay, this happens, hope it starts to not hurt so much! :)

pain in feet after brisk walking?

We Answered:

You do not give your age which makes it difficult to guess what is wrong.
It could be as simple as the way you walk or ill fitting shoes.

Pain in the ball of the foot (called metatarsalgia) can have many different causes (including arthritis, poor circulation, pinching of the nerves between the toes, posture problems, and various disorders). However, most often the pain is caused by nerve damage or by an abnormality of the joints nearest the balls of the feet (metatarsal joints). Often, developing one disorder that causes pain in the ball of the foot contributes to development of another disorder that causes pain in the same location.

You need to talk to your doctor who might, if necessary, refer you to an orthopaedic specialist.

tiny white bumps on feet after walking through grassy area?

We Answered:

Well, I don't what it is, but it could be irritation or an allergen. Plants can do weird things to our body. Harmful and beneficial. What I want you to do is, probably from a safe distance scan the area for any plants you haven't seen before.

After that talk to your doctor who can give you some cream that can benefit you. Other than that, you should be fine. Soak it in hot water and put some honey on it. Honey is antibacterial so it can soothe and kill bacteria causing problems there.

If it swells ice it. But you should see a doctor.
