How can I get over my fear of backflips? We Answered:
Back flips has many components to it.The best thing to do, is find someone who knows how to flip, (try a gymnast or a Tojo teacher) and ask them to be a spotter. There are many videos online which can show you what you and your spotter should do in a backflip.
Practice the components to backflip you can find them easily on tutorial dance or gymnastic websites.
Basically your spotter will hold you with their main hand in the middle of your back (slightly lower middle) and help you flip and their other hand will rotate your legs, so that you'll go over. Once you've been over once or twice, you'll slowly become more relaxed and soon your spotter will do less and less.

Swimming twice a week instead of three times per week - Is this enough to improve physique? We Answered:
I think it would depend on what you did besides swimming during the week and if you were planning on swimming the same distance per practice. If you can do some other toning exercise; e.g., yoga a couple of times per week, I think you wouldn't suffer much, maybe also do some other exercises too.Veronica Said:
Swimmers shoulder help?We Answered:
The doctor is telling you to quit because he doesn't know how to help you. What you need is to find a physical therapist that specializes in sports injuries.Your problem is most likely due to a muscle imbalance. The large muscles of the shoulder and back (built up over time by swimming) are overpowering a set of small muscles that keep the shoulder joint stable. The result is having the bone of your upper arm bang around and cause irritation every time you lift your arm. That clicking is often the result of irritated (and inflamed) tendons popping in and out of their grooves (which only irritates them more).
You most likely need rehabilitation in the form of very specific exercises -- not to strengthen the large muscles that make you a faster swimmer, but to stabilize your shoulder joints. You shouldn't have to quit swimming, but you may need to cut back while you heal. You will need a professional to guide you through this process.
In order to recover, you will need to adopt a new mindset about your training. When it comes to joints, swimming through pain is BAD. You are not doing yourself any favors by swimming when your joints are complaining -- you are only digging yourself a deeper hole, and setting yourself up for a longer rehabilitation.
Find a therapist NOW and get going!
