Make sure you get a proper diagnosis from a Vet - As soon as you can afford the visit.
I would make sure a dog with an acid belly gets 3 small meals per day -
see here: some Vets use Tagament and a bland diet combo....

Please do see the VET when you can...

Any suggestions for an acid reflux diet please!?

We Answered:

Targetted weight reduction is quite difficult, some would declare impossible, however the one thing which definitely worked for me is wu-yi tea, it can be viewed in the resource box below, they have a limited number of free trials in stock, it has been featured in Fox News and CNN. I lost thrity pounds, it definitely does produce success!

What can I eat when on a yeast free and lean meat diet? Acid reflux is bad and meds do not work. I am hoping?

We Answered:

You can always eat fresh fruit and vegetables. However, don't eat citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruits etc).

Whats a good diet to help prevent acid reflux?

We Answered:

Typically, you want to stay away from acidic foods (tomatoes, citrus), and fatty foods. Acidic because acid is what's hurting your esophagus, and fatty because it slows the transit of food out of your stomach....Other foods to avoid are coffee, chocolate, peppermint, onion, and garlic because these actually relax the sphincter between your esophagus and stomach, allowing the contents of your stomach to splash up into your esophagus. Proportion does play a role, too....smaller meals have less of a chance to back up. Weight is an issue too...the more fat in your abdominal area, the more is pressing up on your stomach. And some people have luck sleeping with the head of their bed elevated 6 inches or so (if they have problems at night). If you haven't already, go see a gastroenterologist to check out your esophagus and stomach....make sure you don't have any serious damage done by prolonged exposure to acid...this can lead to esophageal cancer if not treated with a simple pill.

Acid Reflux and diet?

We Answered:

Cut out the caffiene. I'm also vegan and have suffered from acid reflux/heartburn for years. Just recently I cut out all caffiene (coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks) and I feel amazing. Not only is my acidic upset stomach gone, but I also have a lot more natural energy and a better overall sense of well being. I'd also beware of acidic foods like tomatoes, onions, and garlic. Adding probiotics to your diet can also help with digestion issues. I suggest GoodBelly. Good luck and I hope your wife feels better pronto!

Tracy Said:

does anyone have any meal ideas as i have to eat a low fat diet for acid reflux?

We Answered:

I refuse to buy a cookbook since I found www.meals.com. On the left there is a dropdown menu that says "I am looking for..." and one of the choices is Lower in Fat Recipes. They have 145 easy to make recipes...so you can decide what you're hungry for!
And also...I found a great thing the other day. 1 banana, little bit of skim milk, 2 packets of equal, 3 ice cubes...throw it in a blender...you have a fat free milk shake. I also tried it with a handful of frozen rasberries (60 calories per serving...make sure you get them WITHOUT High Fructos Corn Syrup!!! This is the fat killer!). When I added rasberries, I put it in the freezer for a few minutes and it was thick...like ice cream!
